This past summer, we had the pleasure of photographing a stunning wedding at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, a venue known for its classic elegance and breathtaking waterfront views. From start to finish, the day was filled with beauty, love, and unforgettable moments.
A Picture-Perfect Summer Day
The weather couldn’t have been more ideal—clear blue skies, warm sunshine, and a gentle breeze off the water. As the bride and groom prepared for their big moment, the excitement in the air was palpable. The bridal suite buzzed with anticipation as the bride slipped into her elegant gown, and the groom shared laughs with his groomsmen while adjusting his bowtie.
Dockside Portraits & a Sunset to Remember
One of the highlights of the day was capturing portraits on the yacht club’s picturesque dock. With sailboats in the background and the shimmering lake reflecting the golden afternoon light, every shot exuded romance and sophistication. The couple’s love for each other was undeniable, making our job behind the camera effortless.
As the evening approached, nature gifted us with an absolutely breathtaking sunset. The sky turned shades of pink, orange, and purple—creating the perfect backdrop for some of our favorite images of the night. The couple stood at the water’s edge, silhouetted against the glowing sky, sharing quiet, intimate moments before heading into their reception.

The reception was nothing short of spectacular. The ballroom was adorned with timeless florals, soft candlelight, and an atmosphere of pure joy. Guests dined, laughed, and danced the night away under the soft glow of chandeliers. Every detail was carefully thought out, creating an ambiance that felt both luxurious and deeply personal to the couple.
